In the dense forests of Satpura, a pair of Oriental Honey Buzzards raid a beehive. These raptors hunt for food in beehives and wasp nests but, unlike what their name suggests, they prefer bee and wasp larvae over actual honey.

Pranav Mahendru embarked on his journey as a wildlife photographer from a young age, driven by a deep fondness for nature and wildlife. His exceptional talent and dedication have earned him numerous awards and widespread recognition for his work in the field.

The three cubs were around 12-13 months old at the time and it was an evening well spent with them. 

Subadult Tiger Cubs are very curious in nature and show this type of behaviour from time to time. As they become adults, tigers still hug trees and scratch them to mark their territory.

The prize was awarded by The Governor of Rajasthan in Jaipur
